This is what I see happening.
We keep the majority of the squad by putting silly prices on them. Our owners put serious quid in and we buy wisely(all of this covered by selling a few Snoop memorabilia)
Then Modric comes to play for us and Leon teaches him what we need
Other players want to play with Modric and we make a proper play for the autos
If I was a multi millionaire I'd go for it
