• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I think Gatland really was part of the problem (the whole coaching team apart from Adam was past it's sell by date imo. Howley and Humpreys were always crap and masked by Gatland and Edwards). Other than that, I couldn't agree more about the WRU. This is a good article from Gwlad I think.

What as the CEO achieved since she's been in Post, I'd ask Nigel Walker the same question, both were are just figure heads the real power is above them and they have held Welsh Rugby back probably as far back as the 70's, they need to go and go now,

Yes, that's basically what the writer says. She's garbage, as is RCK the chair. As is the Board and the Executive. Phillips and Lewis before her were also gravy train ego driven leeches. The main 'power that has held Welsh rugby back' is the amateur hobby clubs that still hold the power to control the professional game and have £11m of ringfenced funding. When Gareth Davies was chair he was totally hamstrung by them and threatened with being voted out if he did anything they didn't like. In the end he did, so they voted him out and put Geog Bob (a retired geography teacher of no other note except chair of a hobby club) in his place. Every other country professionalised in 1995, the WRU did not. The incompetence, avarice and sheer misplaced heavy handed arrogance is breathtaking.

Well Grass Roots rugby has been held back for probably the last 20 yrs and that's why there's a dearth of talent coming through, so what the fuk are these amateur clubs doing with this 11 million.
