Parachute payments give managers a lot of advantages that should support a promotion if used properly, and conveniently forgeting Hourihane, who it could be argued, cost us promotion in the end with Cooper's insistence on playing him despite being utter garbage for ages. Latibeudiesque.

We missed a big opportunity first season back down on reflection, club went into panic mode. Should have atleast made routs and dyer available for the full season.

Potter didn't help with certain things aswell to be honest!

I agree, potter took much too long to work out his best side. We lost our chance pratting about before Christmas and then being flaky again at the sharp end. I did at least feel that was going somewhere though. With the two since not so much. With Cooper not at all, he built nothing in terms of foundations, blew it all on short term gambles that ultimately failed. In his defence, he had to pay Ayew, but Ayew was the main thing that saved him in his second year.

I was convinced at the time that had Potter stayed he'd have got us back up in his second season.

Who knows?

I agree with that too.

I was also optimistic had Potter stayed.
