• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Edit. Just looked at Facebook and it seems to have gone well.
The main stage was damaged by high winds so acts had to be moved
Many of the comments are very positive.

"Welsh Glastonbury" in the making?🤔😊

Nah that's Greenman, it is very similar but without the commercialism. Very eco friendly and makes a fortune for the local economy. Hard to get tickets as well. I'd say this new festival is more like the V festivals of old.

Gerry Cinnamon was in Singleton as well, never heard of him but I have been told he is a "big act".
Good to see.
Just wish transport links were better into, and out of Wales

Also good to see that work is progressing nicely on the Swansea 'Tramshed'

£100 barrier broken for day tickets to Download and forced to buy a weekend-long parking pass even though I'll only be there for one of the days

I'm only interested in Maiden and Megadeth - all I need now is for their stage times to clash 👍

Have a smashing weekend my friend. 🤘🏻

My mate Hoppy's company was used for a lot of their PA system and lights. He says otherwise as they were expecting a certain number of tickets to be sold. They were still on sale at midday today which is unheard of at festivals.

Sorry I meant I know loads that went and had a brilliant time.

Everyone I've spoken to all had a ball as well. Most took young children with them, and will be returning next year. Hopefully it goes from strength to strength.

I know quite a few that have bought tickets for next year too and the line-up hasn’t been announced yet.
Ebo’s just a miserable twât.

No I am not. I am just saying that they did not sell out which is very unusual for a festival in this day and age, maybe we are being saturated with festivals now as there seems to be a new one popping up every few months.

Hope you're enjoying it. Had to go to Buckley this week, I didn't know The Tiv was still going, Wolfsbane warmed up there for tonight.

Just seen there's 4 big gigs in Manchester on Saturday, 200,000 people. I'm going to enjoy getting a parking space.

Weren't there a load of gigs on in Swansea / Cardiff the same weekend as well?
