• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Give me the info gents.

I think we've been reduced to the lowest home supported team in the league which is a legacy of of past seasons. We have a decent catchment area and dormant fan base so what will it take to re-ignite attending games again. Does the club's commercial side need to get clever from this point?
That's terrible from all angles given that we are not rooted to the bottom of the league.

Our commercial side needs a big kick up the rear and our modern day fans need to stop being so bloody entitled. Too many excuses recently and I'm hoping the crowds increase but not too confident at the same time.

When Bradford can attract 18k crowds in L2 even when they were mid-table is testament how a club can re-invent itself
Cracking example, our club should be embarrassed from all angles.

Saying that, anyone with any honesty in their body would say that it was obvious the gates would drop year on year in the champ.

Agreed and too many people ditching our home games to go watch the peanut chasers too

;)

Hopefully the fans may start turning up again. Always thought our fans in the NE corner in a sparse stadium is just ridiculous considering both areas behind the goal are as good as empty.
That's where the only safe standing bit is though

It's about time we got visiting fans from behind the goals and into one of the corners, as do a lot of home teams. Not sure how it can be done but it is something that definitely needs to be looked at.
Totally agree with that.
We should also think about changing which end we attack in the 2nd half.
The way we currently choose means that the opposition are playing toward their fans in the 2nd half.
I think that gives the a bit of an edge. Especially if they are playing towards a full away end.

Sorry but already sorted and returning for the Boro game.
Lose that one and all blame on me 😬
