Now that

And on another tangent, which I'm not apologising for, why do Americans drink tea without milk? And is the correct way to do it? And why don't they butter their bread?
Not only Americans, all the different nationalities I've met over here in Spain think the Brits are very strange drinking milk in their tea. If you order a tea out here, you get a cup of luke warm water with a Liptons tea bag on a string sitting in it.
I couldn't enjoy a cup of tea without milk, but I don't mind a black coffee.

I had the same conversation earlier this morning. I’m in Bologna, Pego, and I said I fancied a cup of tea. Zero chance of me getting what I want. Might go to Il Veliero tonight as it’s only two mins from the hotel.

We take Yorkshire tea bags wherever we travel abroad, unless its roasting hot and we don't think we'll even want a cuppa

Spanish cafes can't make a cup of tea, equally, if you into an "English " bar and ask for a café con leche it's usually pish. I tend to avoid this problem by ordering a cerveza 😃
