• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Now that
Doc has told me to ease off on the Saturday binges, then again he's told me to just drink two cups of Tea a day and drink 2ltrs of water throughout the day, not listened though, tea is my addiction I just love the stuff, but its playing fuk with my water works.
And on another tangent, which I'm not apologising for, why do Americans drink tea without milk? And is the correct way to do it? And why don't they butter their bread?

I asked for rissole & chips in Holyhead once and they didn't know what a rissole was! I had to settle for a jumbo battered sausage instead...

Was this actually true, or was it a genius marketing ploy? (And what's a 'ploy'?). Goodnight.

Same here, original plan is January, I'm going to see how long after that I can last without a drink.
I have made it through the week, Friday and Saturday night, Smurph. Four bottles of soda water and half a bottle of Roses lime down. It’s been difficult to be honest, just goes to show why it’s called ‘drinking habits’. How about you?

Top man for resisting the temptation. I reckon this weekend could be the hardest of the month 👍🏼

I've been ok, we don't tend to drink much in the house so the urge hasn't been there so far.

The toughest bit for me will be social occasions, I've planned to hibernate this month and avoid as many people as I possibly can lol

My kids are doing dry January as well which helps as my socialising tends to be with them these days.

Guinness is noticeably better in Ireland especially Galway and Dublin.. over here it's just diluted water poured by someone who should work in McDonald's

I dunno, but I don't mind it without milk well its ok occasionally, I prefer a drop of milk with it.

We did the brewery tour. Preferred the Harp and proceeded to get mangled on it in the hotel bar later that same day.
