• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

As far as I am aware, he has been 'released under investigation'
Differs from being bailed by the police, there won't be any conditions, just essentially waiting. Longest client I've had waiting is just over 3 years and counting

The 2017 changes to the Bail Act were a disaster, Released Under Investigation was poorly thought out and has seen investigations drag on for years, suspects ( who could potentially be innocent) are under huge pressures as are witnesses and victims who’s cases just drag on and on. I totally understand some cases are very complex and take ages to investigate, but there are also some examples of simple cases dragging on and there’ve been examples of Judges criticising the police about delays in the media. After the RUI - you’ve then got delays on account of Court capacity - it’s just my good enough. The government’s of the last 12 years have lots to answer for.

The rumour I have heard from two separate Evertonians is he is one of a number of footballers who were blackmailed after 'partaking in services" from "professional' ladies. He refused to pay up-claim made 'professional' lady is under 16.

Would take with a pinch of salt, but that is the local rumour

Cutting our justice system to the bone not worked then? So much for the law and order party.

I’m not commenting on the case or the rumour but just want to point out that it is not possible for someone to be a ‘professional’ if she is a child. The language used is important.

I think the rumours are flying around again up in Merseyside.
Clarity of what happened is needed.

I was told the exact same rumour. Surely the essence of this “sting” by this gang, was presenting this under 16 yr old girl to look a lot older. And by all accounts they did such a good job,you wouldn’t have known in a million years, that she was under age.
This would obviously not matter a jot if Sigurðsson had under age sex with her, but if this didn’t happen and he went straight to the police, then it’s a different story.
