What was that all about then? The only threat we had in the first half and bang off he comes at half time

I said to the fella in front of me at half time, I bet he takes Oko off because we are two down.

Unbelievable decision.

He compounded that decision by taking Obafemi off midway through 2nd half, its like he goes into a panic/clueless mode.

But we drew so you could argue that it was a good decision.

I thought he'd take him off as well. I'd have kept him on.

Wigan were happy to sit deep and attack on the counter especially after going two up.
A bit of luck combined with a bit of skill got us one back and we were well up for it after that.
Then at half time RM takes off our only source of pace and trickery (that we had pulled away from the right flank where he was terrorizing their full back for some inexplicable reason).

Getting a draw was not a reflection of good decision making on RM's behalf, we reverted to slow paced type after taking off the only other source of pace in the side and it was more a reflection of Wigan's inability to defend than any tactical acumen on RM's part that saw us equalise.

Tactically RM got it entirely wrong with his substitutions and his game management.

It killed Martin today to start with Oko, and leave one of his pets on the bench (Sorinola). So he was always going to hook him at half time with that score line. It's weird how all managers have blind spots for their favourites. Sexy Flexy should be starting every game if fit.

Also made a comment along the lines of

Joel is coming back to where we want him after his suspension and Patto after injury, they will both score goals.

Michael will score if he does what we ask of him.

Hmmmmmm

Disgraceful decision (unless he was injured). Was literally the only player to come out of that first half performance with any credit. And why did he take Obafemi off when chasing the game and needing goals?.Players like Paterson and Ntcham really need to take a long hard look in the mirror if Oko flex , making his way in the game , is showing them how to perform on a Saturday afternoon.

It's like he can't read games, fecking clueless, its looking like we've had that good run in spite of him its all very odd. Its like we have players who know how to play and we got a manager who doesn't, unique indeed.

Maybe he's still on the Janet & John books of football tactics.

You can't keep blaming players for individual mistakes when it's the team selection and tactics that put them in that position.

I remember him saying we needed to get back to doing the basics well.

Football is a simple sport if you get the basics done and then build up from there.

Seems like we are trying to run :D before we can walk.

Certainly not running, most of the football this season has been tippy tappy going nowhere at a snails pace.

so now it's been confirmed oko flex not injured and he knows why he got took off

Martin is destroying my enjoyment in watching the Swans, he's so perverse. Taking Oko Flex and Obafemi off yesterday and putting Sorrynola and Naughton on were the last straw for me yesterday, I stopped watching.
