• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Who is the trialist and was there any shape on him?

The idea of an interchangeable front three of Eom, Ronald and Providence behind Zan with Grimes and Franco holding the midfield actually has me feeling pretty excited.

Was involved in 2 good moves but also looked a little lightweight and few poor touches defensively

Shame he wasn’t involved in the other pre season games so he had more time to assess. Difficult to judge on 25 minutes

Just for anyone interested Rio Ave kick off their league campaign on Fri night a handsome win for them might put or victory in some sort of perspective before Boro.

Depends who they are playing... the Portuguese premier league is one with a massively wide gap between the kings (such as Porto and Benfica) and the peasants, a problem endemic in many of the European top divisions

I will admit though to having no idea where Rio Ave sit in that scale between kings and peasantry. A quick google search says they finished last season in 11th out of 18, good old fashioned mid table mediocrity.
