• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I prefer a hairless chops, so the old visage gets done every 1/2 days, but, in my 50s, the old chest rug has gone all grey. By chopping this off, along with as much pubic growth as possible once every 3 months, I continue with my desire to be the 'oldest swinger in town'.

Swinger?

So in the last 15 years I've had 1 day clean shaven, can't imagine myself without a beard, every so often I leave it grow for about 12 months or so but get it shaped, my missus, who I've been with for 8 years today and my grandchildren have never ever seen me clean shaven, my beard is almost purely white now

When I worked, every morning. When I retired five years ago, I started shaving only when I feel like it or when I have a reason, like going out. Maybe every four or five days.
It's great being retired!

Most of my working life has been spent in offices and even when I've been working from home since 1990, work had involved a lot of face to face with clients so shaving was a 1 or 2 day routine but rarely at weekends. Since becoming semi-retired 5 years ago and the face to face stuff became someone else's responsibility, the shaving intervals increased to 'when necessary' and lockdowns increased that further so where I am now is every 1-2 weeks unless something comes up. Monday last week, I shaved because we were going to a funeral but haven't since and may get around to it in the next couple of days. No rush. 😎

I might keep that in mind.
I’m going to try and keep going until the wife’s birthday in March first.

Well it’s the wife’s birthday tomorrow so it might be coming off plus I was in Porthcawl earlier and there was two young men walking towards me and I overheard one saying “f*ck me Jesus is looking old.” 🤬

Coney Beach reopened yesterday, they've not hired you for the ghost train have they?

Being clean shaven for work is one of those stuffy old traditions isn't it.

All the older fellas on work still do it, and wear ties every day.

I've not been clean shaven for about 20 years i reckon, just put the hair clippers on it once a week or once a fortnight, and never right down to the wood either.
