I might regret this but have you considered that the money has run out? Also, there were no boom years under Cooper - he gave it his best shot when many clubs parked their ambition, it was his best chance, and he couldn’t quite get it over the line. Four years out of the premier League and the club is facing a whole different set of problems.

Isn’t it just.

There’s a reason that Cooper didn’t fancy managing us this season.

We lost a golden gloves keeper, arguably the best defender in the league who’s now cutting it in the Premier League and being considered by Southgate for England, a fine wing back in Connor, and no less than 72% of our goals from last season. No more parachute money and Cooper ran away from the challenge.

I think it was obvious to him that a lot of the fanbase wanted him gone, think the club felt the same, him sending the team out on Playoff final day to play so negatively was the final nail in his coffin, so to speak.
The football we played got results, but by god it was turgid stuff.

Max, you're far better than that.

We all know that 75% of the wider populace voted for Cooperball and his management team to Remain at the end of term. Yes, a resounding Remain Vote.

The fact we achieved the Playoff Final was, 'like I say an oytstanding achievement, like I say. The boys put everything into it.' The manager 'couldn't have asked for more from the unit'. Brentford are currently making a proper fist of it in EPL. A team we had the better of when Frank went on record to frankly say he 'was outplayed by Cooper's fluid frontline' earlier in the season.

Not turgid to the 75%. Not turgid to those that enjoy winning with Effective, Efficient Winning football.

Yet here we are, with 7 days and counting for Silverstein to evaluate Martin's credentials, evaluate his proposed transfer dealings, evaluate Wunter, evaluate the squad as he sees it - all to ensure we don't get relegated. For heck sake.

(btw - is it ok to swear on here ?)

I standby what I've wrote, we had two chances at getting promoted by to the Prem, his first yr we did very well to get into the Playoff.

2nd season we virtually had it in our hands up till around Christmas then we fell apart, for maybe 6 weeks, even then we got to the playoff final and we didn't turn up, think Cooper got frustrated in the January Transfer window, but not being allowed to get the player/s he wanted and was given players, he probably didn't want, not is fault.

But I think he bottled it in the final, think he knew he wanted to go even then, not saying he didn't do well, with the results, he did, but his style of football was awful.

Not a fan of Martin either, got a long way to go to convince me, but again he's another Manager who could be let down this January, as I don't think he'll get the players he wants, although I'm not sure he'll know what to do with them if he did, Covid again playing its part though.

Not interested in what Brentford have done or doing myself.

And I stand by what I've wroted too.

Are we really in the market for Maastsen ? I believe so, looking to shore up our survival in this league when our best players (Pato, Piroe/ (Laird), Grimesy, Ntcham the most at risk) swim away upstream to the Midlands to the whole host of prey, circling menacingly.

Nobody's interested in Brentford - other than as a proper benchmark for where we coulda shoulda been had Cooper been able to get his main man, Joel Piroe.

Silverstein has the closest of watching briefs on Martin's wranglings right now. The Owners couldn't trust Wunter. Thank heck Silverstein is here to sort the Wunter-Martin collective fack up.

Not in Coventrys squad today

Cash plus swap with Bidwell?

He’s on loan from Chelsea but there was rumblings we were looking at signing him permanently from Chelsea.

Quite like your thinking . . . . even if I’ve never seen the lad play!

He wasted our parachute payments. We never got back and built nothing sustainable. Those are facts. You don't have to like them, but that's what they are.
