• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

If you knew Russell Martin, Swansea loves you more..

Next manager, can we ditch the love in? Until we’re sure they commit to us. By all means get behind the team, but let’s not worship them like deities.

No manager is going to commit to us, we are a stepping stone and always will be.

It's all a pantomime anyway isn't it, the singing and songs I mean.

Ate there any of us on here who would turn down trebling their wages to go to another employer?

As long as people give their all until the better offer comes along or we sack them, that's all we can ask.

Trebling his wages, longer contract, far better squad, money to spend, increasing his future prospects, chance to be managing in the premier league in 15 months time.

Nothing we could have reasonably done would have kept him here imo.

Yep. No hard feelings either, I'm not his biggest fan and certainly didn't think he'd done enough to earn a new contract, but no animosity either.

Thanks for the double doube, best of luck except when Southampton are playing us, etc...

And when we run into Southampton, can please ditch any applause etc for him. He's fckd off, yesterday's man...and should be treated as such.

Definitely. Certain managers command a bit of respect when returning, Frank Burrows springs to mind, but Russ nope, not for me either.

Nailed on RM is already having a WhatsApp chat with some of our better players on going with him.

Manning and Lati are looking for houses in Southampton as we speak.
