Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you should see the below in the bottom right

Go to your profile page and click on the Ignoring link. It shows you all the people and content you are ignoring; you can remove item from the list there.

I tend to ignore "trigger" threads - ones that I know will get me aerated.

These days I'm an older, wiser Hector.

Thanks but it doesn’t look like that on mine. Interestingly, to me at least, I followed the instruction below above clicking on profile, etc, and it turns out I had a few threads on ignore. Who knew?

Oh go on, I have to ask’ why would you need to press a button, to ignore a thread’ ?

Sorry, but I just get the impression of someone angry? And that’s not trying to be funny.

Surely you either participate in a thread, or don’t. Personally I have never done that.

I think if it like putting stuff in the bin when you've no use for it instead of having to step over it every time you walk into the house.

Because it removes threads from the first page that you look at, leaving more room for those that you are interested in.
I remove all those from the Swans official site which never have replies to them.

I’d actually ignored them by accident because I didn’t realise it was possible, but Alf Garnett over there is too thick to read what I wrote, but it does sound like a good idea to free up space on the first page . Now anything from Dazzler or his minion can go straight in the bin.
