I'm falling out of love with football....

I blame Amazon. They have more time on their hands now everything can be delivered to the house and they don't have to go out shopping instead.

In all honestly it's 2025 and I can't believe people still think like this, let alone broadcast on the internet.
Absolutely Smurph!
As long as these women types leave cricket alone I'm fine with it...

Well ...we do have Vip who is a No. 9 as compared to the likes of Cullen and Yates. Oh and there is Idah also
Vip, is that the same Vip who scored a brace against Norwich and looking for a hatrick then got subbed off? And his thanks for his two much needed goals against Norwich was to be subbed to the bench for a dream match against Man City?
Christ no wonder Sheehan got sacked.

yep spot on

The start of the downfall for me was kneeing before kick off, it's pretty impressive looking back how long they kept it up for. The football product as never been the same for me after that with the added 3rd rate diversity pundits, I no longer watch any pundits talking now before, during and after matches.

Yeah, those bast*rds taking a stand against racism, who do they think they are? What's wrong with throwing the odd banana at a black player? Just good ol British humour, innit?

A combination of saturated football coverage, add womens football and lack of success or entertainment all chips away at our appetite for the game, for me anyway. Chuck is the cost of tickets, fuel and food it becomes as expensive day out.

If was in hitting distance of Swansea i would get a ST.

Match of the day is a chore as is watching some prem teams on live games.

Maybe it's an age thing 😅😅
This got my interest piqued. Why is women’s football “chipping away at your appetite for the game”?

Because it's another level of the games exposure.. my saturated point !.. I know where you're going with this.

I'm a big women's cricket fan and enjoyed the recent ODI World Cup

On the OP, for me it’s not football generally but the Swans have been drab for years now. After 40 years I binned off my season ticket a few years ago. Covid was partly responsible for getting me out of the habit but I stopped enjoying it. It was mostly the fact that we’d done everything I grew up wishing we’d do but always seemed out of reach. Win promotion to the Prem. Thrive in the prem. Win a cup. Have a run in Europe. It was amazing but then it ended. Even if we do all that again it’ll never be the same. We’re now just one of those clubs. We used to be different.

But I still love football. The Wales game last night objectively awful but I enjoyed every minute. Yesterday morning I watched an u15s game in Trallwn. Great game, kids giving their all. Ended in a 2-2 draw and went to penalties. Today I’ll probably watch an under 21s game in Swansea Bay Sports Park. They’re always entertaining. Football isn’t the issue, it’s mostly the Swans.

And apart from all that, the Ashes start on Friday. Sport rules.

I’m not going anywhere with it, it just seems an odd thing to use as a reason. The wider “saturation” point I kind of get but you could always choose what to watch and what not to watch.

I didn't need in my face for two years that's all. I got the message the first few times they done it.

Yeah but what about football?
