• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I'm not crying. You're crying.

Just to let you know, my grandfather passed away early this morning, it's a bit sudden, but cancer is a b*stard.

Sorry to hear that news, Skip.

Sorry to hear this, Skip. :(

I'm sure he won't mind me saying but Skip's grandfather was an east stand season ticket holder and will be familiar to those who visit the Wern on match days

I can't remember the last time I saw him without his SCFC cap on

RIP Uncle Reg 🖤⚽

Deepest sympathies, Skip (and Blaze). I didn’t know him but as Blaze said I used to see him weekly in the Wern with his daughters, one of whom is a mate of my wife’s from childhood. Sad news.

So sorry to hear your awful news. My condolences to you and your family.

Thanks for the flowers Andrew and Sarah.. and thanks to Blaze, his mother and father for visiting my grandmother yesterday.. he would never leave the house without his Swans cap, at least his last live game was Swansea 3-0 Cardiff. And thanks everyone for your words of sympathy

Life is so cruel sometimes.
Thoughts are with you

Deepest condolences, very sorry to hear of your loss.

You mentioned seeing the World Cup in 58, you could write to the FAW in advance of the next home match and ask them to display a picture of your grandad at half time on the big screens. They have a feature where fans who are no longer with us are remembered and the might be something you and the family would be interested in.
