Neglected it for a few months and it turned yellow and crispy. Been watering it each day for the last week but no sign of life. Is it fucked, fucked?

Will do. I'd take a plastic plant any day of the week
 
Nip down to Halfords, pick up a rattle can, forest green should be ok, and give it a respray, job done.👍
