What a dreadful time. RIP

Awful.

Should knock road racing on the head, leave it to the tracks.

We have road races here in Aberdare every summer at Aberdare park, Carl Fogerty raced and won there twice. I did see a very nasty accident there once in the 80's when a guy called Neil Tuxworth lost control on the last bend and was thrown clear with his bike slamming him into a tree. He was lifeless and I thought he had gone but he survived with multiple bone breaks and concussion, he was back the following year racing at Aberdare Park.

The speeds they are going at here at the TT are seriously frightening.

They are a special breed this lot. 300kph on that track, they must be extreme adrenaline junkies!

Crazy

The Dunlop family have had more than their fair share of tragedies in road racing but still do it, definitely a special breed

A friend of mine Russel Morgan was a regular racer at Aberdare, he won it a few times, I think.

Special breed indeed, used to do the odd track day at Pembrey and the genuine racers were clear to see, just different class.
