Be careful when your isolation period starts.
On Thursday I noticed that the texts you receive from the NHS telling you that you are positive and you must isolate, changed their wording slightly.
They used to tell you to start your 10 day isolation from the day of your test, or the day your symptoms started. They now say to start your isolation the day after your test, or the day after your symptoms first started. The NHS and Welsh Gov online guidance pages were still advising of the former.
Spent most of Friday and today on the phone to NHS & PHW, the NHS have updated their guidance page, but the Welsh Gov still haven't done theirs. Incidentally, the NHS guidance page have now worded it in an even worse way than it was before. But at least it now matches what the notification texts say.
So it could be argued now that it's an 11 day isolation not a 10 day.
I've also seen examples that local test and trace teams are still sending out letters stating a 14 day isolation period, which is obviously incorrect. The 14 day isolation only applies in the care home setting.
May help someone, probably help businesses more than individuals.
