• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

You can still buy tickets to see him at Swansea Grand on Friday March 5th.
It's been postponed once surely it isn't going ahead?

I'm not bothering to book anything this year to be honest. That's the sad and depressing reality of it.

There won't be any concerts or shows that resemble any form of normality before 2022 in my opinion. Any that do go ahead in 2021 will be severely restricted in numbers...and that's if the organisers don't pull the plug in advance.

It must be awful for people working in the industry. The only hope we have for this year will be outdoor shows and concerts that have socially distanced areas for bubbles of people to attend...a bit like they started doing last summer. There's more time and experience to plan something like that now. Depends what the government says.

It's all a bit of "head work" at the moment.
I normally have booked things by now well in advance, but everything is on hold.
A weird feeling.

Bowling For Soup in the Brangwyn Hall was postponed by a year a couple of days ago. Received an email straight after with the new tickets for next year.

Sadly it looks like this year will be a lot like last with show cancellations, just hope they give plenty of notice so people know where they stand!

Adam Lambert + Queen , due on in Birmingham in June now postponed till June 2022 .

Just had notification from Ticketmaster .

Cheap Trick are playing several government safe festivals in Australia in May.
I’ve no idea what that means but it sounds bizarre.

I hope Barry Manilow is looking after himself as undoubtedly his 2020 dates are going to get bumped another 12 months to 2022.

I'd be surprised if that goes ahead. But then I don't actually know what the rules are at the moment. They've changed so much I've lost track. And every day merges into the next; days of monotony, keeping our heads down working from home (luckily I can), not seeing anyone, not going anywhere. I'm only marking the passing of time by our matches.

You've got bands postponing but you've also still got bands announcing tours this Autumn time, alot can change, last year from the peak in April just months later we was being encouraged to eat out in restaurants 3 times a week, and with the speed of the vaccine roll out, I wouldn't be suprised to see some gigs back towards the end of the year.
