• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

If the home form was terrible I'd agree but every club in the league has a poor run of form. The defeat in the cup with a make shift team should be ignored, and the Derby defeat has just blown things out of proportion. Yes pompey was awful and confidence shot against Norwich once we fell behind 2nd time. I just don't think death threats and bashing everyone is really doing the club any favours.
It's a bit of a jump to conflate entirely justified criticism with death threats. That's just silly. The former is valid, the latter is not.

But what it does show is the level of ill feeling towards players, management and the club. Rewind 6 weeks and there was talk of the playoffs...now a hostile atmosphere, for me that's uncomfortable and unreasonable.

The death threats is ridiculous and wrong. The forum is a site to put on opinion, be it criticism or praise, without it being broadcast at the ground and, hence, affect players.

Ignoring our obvious disagreement over Cundle. When you speak of minority. Only a minority were talking of play offs. The majority were pragmatic and could see it being absolute pie in the sky. Do you not believe that the club is absolutely shockingly run from top to bottom ?

We did have 2 good performances at home over Xmas and then looked tired at the end of the xmas period but managed to sneak a point against WBA. A good first half against Sheffield and even 2nd half reading the blades forum they said we gave it ago even though down to 10 men....I think the agenda from the minority (as always) is to get williams gone and will complain about anyone or anything untill that happens.

You could argue that we hammered QPR in the first half of that game and snuck past a rubbish Luton team down to 10 men by the skin of our teeth.

It was commendable that we snuck a point against WBA although we didn't play very well.

We did very well against Sheffield United up until half time and they came out second half all guns blazing and equalised within a few minutes. Second half we didn't have a shot so hardly giving it a good go, irrespective of being down to ten men. If Darling hadn't been sent off, recent history suggest we'd have lost that game too and the narrative coming from it would have been very different.

Sheffield United then lost 3-0 at home to Hull a few days later and we rolled over at Norwich.

In general, our season up until the end of 2024 had been okay but the drop off since then has been astonishing.

If taking 1 point from 5 games, scoring 3 goals and conceding 15, including rolling over in a derby match and in addition to losing 3-0 without a whimper to a dreadful Southampton team in the FA Cup doesn't get you complaining then I doubt anything will.

Anyone that can't see that we have been a total mess since that Luton game must have their head up their arse to be honest.

4-0; 3-0; 3-0; and 5-1 defeats and a spawny undeserved last minute 1-1 draw all against teams in poor form, some in terrible long term form, kind of paints a picture.

I hope it's also contingent on him being any good!

Coming from Man C, Williams will be shit scared of him, knowing that he knows ten thousand times more about how to play than Williams does.

From being on the bench in the champions league to playing for the Swans a week later. Probably not the career progression he had in mind 🤣
