Since the start of 208-2019 season he's played 160 games with 11 goals and just 6 assists. That's why he's much maligned, need far more from our midfield players than that.. When we had Fulton, Grimes and Smith playing together there was no creativity and even less goals.

He fits in well and is effective, hid discipline has improved as well, we have the players we have, so I don't know what you expect, for me he's done his job well for the most part at least.

Leon was a different case, he was our defensive midfielder which left the likes of De Ghuzman to create and score goals. I've mentioned Grimes in my post and probably the main reason we didn't go up under Cooper was the lack of a creative midfield scoring goals, with the midfield 3 being Grimes , Fulton and Smith. There was a season where Connor Roberts and i think Rodon scored more goals between them than our 3 midfield players. Fulton seems capable of scoring 30 yd screamers in friendlies against Bristol rovers and i think Yeovil but unable to recreate that at championship level.

He's more than worth his place in that first 11, in my opinion. An opinion that's just as valid as yours and anyone else's.

I wouldn’t say not happy at his contributions but I’d return a question with how many championship clubs would want a jay fulton in their team ?

The clue maybe in the fact he’s still here after a period where the manager blatantly didn’t want him

As I said he’s bang average … that’s not a criticism of him

But you are right it’s all opinions and yours is valid and certainly not unique on this
