Joe Allen

Joe is only 32 so it's not as if he's going to need to get about the place with a zimmer frame any time soon. Played 53 games both domestic and international last season and was largely ever present for us until he got the knock against Hull.

It's a wild thought, but maybe he's injured and not just fit for the glue factory? It happens.

This kind of common sense opinion is not welcome around here...

I get that particular train of thought but personally I can’t wait to see him in a swans shirt again and I know I’ll feel a sense of pride if he pulls on the Wales shirt in the World Cup. Just call me a soppy tw@t.

Christ itchy, that's a departure from your normal thinking. I don't disagree withyou and i personally believe that he was brought home with the view to to keeping us jacks happy, giving him a last hurrah at his home club...and maybe going on a coaching path in the future. Either way you are generally more critical in your thinking. Yep, you soppy twat! Keep it up. :D

I’m generally misunderstood.

Yep. And it’s no way we signed him just to be a bit part player. Some of the performances he turned in for Wales before he joined us were pretty decent. He’s got plenty to offer when he gets over this injury. Might not be for many years of course, but a couple of decent years and an older, level head around the place is well worth the ‘risk’ of signing him towards the end of his career.

So there we are

He won't play for Swansea before the world cup, there have been mistakes in managing his injury and there is a chance he will be fit for the world cup.
