Joel Cotterill recalled with immediate effect

Where's he been then, didn't realise he had gone out. Has he been playing?

Was on the fringes. They've been storming the league and according to their fans at the start of the season didn't really need someone in his position. Liam Smith was supposedly going there as well but it broke down on deadline day. Difficult as an unproven youngster to get games when the established players are doing so well.

Always been difficult to find good loans for our kids. Connor Roberts was a year older than Cotterill was when he got his League Two breakthrough, and even that started as a short-term injury cover placement. Hopefully the dozen apps and being in the first team environment there helps push him on.

Was sending him to a team where he was unlikely to feature regularly another Watson masterstroke?

He was supposed to go to Stockport for the season, I have heard nothing but good things about Joel, he has the right attitude and was more than happy to Go on loan to allow his development. As others have said it was always going to be difficult for a youngster in a successful side to force his way in. He has had 11 games for them and scored one goal from midfield which is not a bad return.

Beggars can't be choosers. Once Yeovil dropped out of the league and Newport started looking further East for their players our EFL options have become extremely limited. Players have agents trying to find them progression when it's not available here, sometimes that means taking risks.
