• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Joel Ward

I'll reserve judgement until I see what he brings to the team, but of course I'm as apprehensive as everyone else, given our rather poor previous experience of signing out of contract pros getting on in years.
I know they weren't out of contract as such, but better than the £ obscene-thousands a week like Bony and Ayew oldies. This tbh, a no brainer for me for 6 months like Whale etc has said

Getting ripped apart on X. Some cunts following us.
He was never gonna be sharp or totally match fit. He gets a free pass for me at present. You don't spend the amount of time in the Premier league to not be a good player. Unfair critism many are making today or certain players.

Sorry, but he showed his lack of sharpness on several occasions for me today. Not surprising, given his recent lack of game time. I saw enough to believe he will be a good signing as and when he becomes match fit.
Yep, agreed, a few loose balls, but I think a few games and he will be back in the zone.
Looked tidy and physical also.

As many others have mentioned, if his signing means that Parker goes out on loan and plays regularly in the EFL and/or we sell Key for a half decent fee (I had high hopes for him but unfortunately his form and confidence have dropped so far that a fresh start may be best for all parties - glad he got the assist today though and at least would be leaving after a couple more positive performances) then having Ward available for the next 4 months is a net positive IMO. Will be interesting to see how many games he ends up starting.
