Numerous reports that ourselves and Derby are in for Monaco’s young English centre back Jonathon Panzo.

He was centre back in Cooper’s U-17 World Cup winning team.

They want £4 million for a permanent deal... maybe we’ll try for another loan. But he is a quality prospect.

I’m sure he was linked last year.

Zero chance for that fee though.

Out of contract next June so unless Monaco are extending his contract can't see us getting him on loan.

£4 million for a player averaging a rating of 6.4 in a team near the bottom of the Belgian 2nd division!
Not happening.
(Even if he is another of Cooper's kids.)

Cercle Brugge are in the top division in Belgium.

Think you will also find if you read deeper into it that Monaco are looking at getting €2M for him, discussions have been going on with Dijon and Monaco pushing for the fee I have mentioned.

Looks like this one is on, loan with an option to make it permanent in 12 months.

Interesting one this as his contract is up in 12 months time!

Interesting as you say MD, would we have to pay them as he’s 19 for development or is that just a UK thing??

What source is that MD? Not seen anything saying it's on?

You're right - saw them called Brugge second side and assumed it was a Club Brugge B team.
Managed by Paul Clement ...

At €2 we could be in for a gamble given his connections with Cooper.

So, from basically skint but keeping our heads above water self sustainably we're now linked with about £5m worth of spending, most of which would appear to be "invested" (ie borrowed).

I am not liking this.
