The only resigning matter is lying to the House. He didn't. He clearly did not know, and the jury is even out on whether the "process" allowed him to know. Not that that'll make any difference. the pitchforks are out and the torches lit. He might as well be playing on the wing for us.

Someone needs to ask him why he pushed so hard for Mandelson that he announced it, cleared it with the king, cleared it with Trump, and sent him to Washington before he had been vetted, after he'd been sacked twice and was known to be dodgy. Awful judgement. I suspect it was McSweeney and Starmer wasn't interested. That really damns his judgement, but still not a resigning matter.

He'll be gone before Christmas when the next f**k up rears its head, even if the May elections don't fry him. We really needed a competent PM that lasted the term, and I'm really disappointed as I thought he might just be it.

Rayner will be PM soon to realign the Labour dream.
If she becomes leader we’re racing towards a reform Tory gov.

Labour need to understand it’s about winning not about purity. The only candidates should be from the right of the party and be good communicators.

The only show in town for next election should be stopping reform, please don’t open the door

Rayner would be a good leader... plenty of new houses built and we can pay any tax we like.

Rayner couldn't lead her own fanny towards a tube of Canestan....

Angela Rayner as PM ?....ye Gods!

Hell is open and all the devils are here...

Totally agree we the your comments.

Rayner would be a disastrous choice, she’s carrying baggage in the form of 2 alleged dodgy tax issues and having been mauled by the likes of the Daily Mail, Express etc she’s persona non grata for a large proportion of the public.

On the opposite side of the coin we have Farage’s who has many questions to answer in relation to his financial affairs, but he’s getting an easy ride. He’s trying to avoid scrutiny much the same way Boris did before the 2019 GE, hiding in the fridge, failing to turn up for the leadership debate etc etc. Farage needs some serious scrutiny.

Labour need to select from the right of the party, because it’s been proven time after time that the country doesn’t have an appetite for a government that’s too far to the left. The Labour Party need to come to their senses and smell the coffee, stay in the middle ground and have a chance of retaining power or move to the left and be in opposition to Reform.

Labour have taken a pasting in the press, but there has been progress and improvements in some areas. They need to listen to the public, work on some of the key concerns and get their messaging right. If they don’t they’ll end up like Labour in Wales at the last election.

Living abroad gives you a more distant perspective - so I am quite prepared to be shot down.
HOWEVER - Labour only need to do one thing to be a shoe in at the next election.
Present a fact driven analysis of the catastrophe that has been Brexit and promise that Labour will seek the support of the electorate to rejoin the EU.
The facts and consequences were never properly presented (even partly), and the need to align with "proper" allies like the EU Canada Australia New Zealand Japan and South Korea has become an imperative before the US and China carve up the world.
