• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Jobs for the boys :)

Time will tell what happens but his passion for Swansea City is unquestionable.

Oh I wasn't serious. Local guy who played for years for us, loves the club and has all the required qualifications. Sounds good to me.

Indeed David and we all hope he’s successful.

Are we switching to hoofball and playing the percentages officially then?

Thank f*ck for that, hopefully he won't be on SwansTV again!

Been far and away the best co-commentator (Trundle in second place). Intelligent, insightful, critical when necessary and praising the same. For all the stick he took for being part of Monk's coaching staff, he might just have been the smartest of the lot.

Could also put a glass eye to sleep!

At least the risk of starting a bashing thread the commentary on Swans TV is by far the worst I’ve ever heard. It’s just a monotone chit chat over the game, no commentary on what’s actually happening. Other channels put us to shame. O’Leary does try but his constant calling for the long ball for the strikers to knock down for others to pick up scraps is just a bit shit.

The SwansTV coverage is by large dreadful

There is no pre-match build up, nothing at half time other than the odd reading of a tweet of #jacksathome whilst the hashtag flashes on the screen with regular annoyance.

ifollow has its bashers but is far superior to anything we produce (bar they often use local radio commentary) but at least they give you something to watch

And I like Ant O'Connell as a person but he has three key stats he prepares for every game that he has to use whether it is appropriate to do so or not. And that is before we start on the pointless "celebrity fans of the opposition" that he now seems it is right to use.

It's dreadful coverage but sadly also a lifeline to keep fans watching at the moment so essential dreadful coverage

I must be lucky then, as I seem to have the ability to not even hear them most of the time as I'm too focused on the play.
