And whilst that may be partially coincidental, Swans fans should not believe that the two things are not connected with Naughton well...

Been our most consistent performer since relegation and an underrated one before that. Not sure what his contract situation is but we need to be sure we keep hold of him.

When he sits in the middle of that back three I relax. If it’s Bennett or Cabango I’m terrified of what will happen.

He used to make my head explode watching him take half an hour to make a decision. His new role suits him far more. He’s been excellent this season - playing the best his ever played.

Taking him off throw ins has been a master stroke

I wonder where Kyle stands in the list of criminally underrated players by some of our more challenged fans. He's in good company alongside the likes of Routledge, de Guzman, de Vries (not even a League 1 quality keeper as some of the veteran PS posters may remember) and many more.

Not gonna disagree with Routs and De Vries, but I'll never get the adulation that De Guzman gets.

Remember watching Dorus at Hampden playing for Dunfermline against Celtic the year before he signed for us in the Scottish Cup Final and getting MOTM, was also there to witness another former Swan playing for Dundee United against Celtic the year before in the Cup final who went on to become a firm favourite... 🖤🤍
10 pts for whoever can guess who this was 🟠⚫
