• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Can't watch Women's boxing I've no interest whatsoever.
Totally on same page. I like boxing, but it is very on the edge to what is right. I mean you’ve got two people knocking crap out of one another. There’s the part of you that loves it and there’s the part of you that thinks this isn’t right really.

But women? No sorry not for me. I don’t see this as a sexist opinion. Obviously it is considered so by many. But I’d see it more as protecting women from the violence that us men just are conditioned to. I don’t want Lauren Price being a role model for girls to beat the crap out of each other. Obviously a personal viewpoint, you can feel it’s perfectly fine and enjoy it. But I find it strange and I’ll never get it.

I have a strange relationship with boxing. It's fascinating on one level and, at the same time, a "sport" in which the aim is to give your opponent brain damage can't be right.
Men or women doesn't make any difference to me. Boxing authorities have a duty to ensure that mismatches don't occur because lives are literally at stake. Anyone who gets into a boxing ring is incredibly brave.

There's no difference to two men going toe to toe in the middle of the ring.

The world has moved on.

Some on here would rather see women not wasting thier time competing in elite sport and spend more time on housework.
Especially if there's dishes to be washed, washing clothes, hanging and fetch clothes from the line, ironing and cooking grub for their hardworking hubbys, Priorities Jaxxy :ROFLMAO:

Certainly some outdated views upon times which aren't exclusive to women in sport either.
