• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Trying to pour cold water on yesterday’s incredible performance by our keeper, doesn’t do your credentials as a supporter of the team as a whole, and the players individually any favours.
They’re trying to be all edgy, lot of it about.

The one good thing in our favour is his age. I can't see many "bigger" teams ready to splash a cash on a 32 year old keeper.
Van der sar left Fulham to join Man Utd at the age of 35. Worked out pretty well for him.

I think he’s been our player of the season so far.

Best we’ve had IMO since fabianski.
He was our best player last season as well. Arguably played even better than yesterday, when we won at Bristol City.

As Smurph said, I don't know how the hell we managed to pick him up but I'm very glad we did. He's been worth about 20 points during his time here and I don't think that's an exaggeration.

I like Vigouroux he has done a fantastic job for Swansea (and we would be screwed without him). When he first came I wasn't so sure (1st game I saw him in the flesh was against Cardiff at the Swansea.com) but he has won me over and is a good keeper at the Championship level.

Shot stopping is excellant, however his kicking leaves a bit to be desired and his command of the area also not the best, he is not the biggest, yes he's tall but quite thin and this I believe is why he does not command his area the best as he maybe lacks the strentgth to truly dominate his area.

For the aforementioned reasons I don't think we need to worry about losing the Vig and that he has found his level (i.e a good championship keeper)
