Pegojack
Alan Curtis
Says he's had enough and is ready to put his feet up when he's finished writing his final Jack Reacher novel which he started in September (actually being co-written with his brother, who intends to carry on the franchise).
He reckons he's sold around 200 million books worldwide and he's made about a dollar royalty on each of them, so he's not short of a bob or two.
Before I read any of them, I confess I had a bit of a book snob attitude, you know, shallow American hero easily beats all the villians, etc.
How wrong I was. I'm an addict now and generally can't put them down once I start one. It's read in two days, three at most.
Shame Tom Cruise made a mockery of the character by thinking he could play him in the movies, but at least that wrong has been righted in the current television series with an actor more appropriate for the role. Tom Cruise comes up to his waist, and that's standing on his orange box.
