It's going to happen unfortunately with players or managers. If any of them are performing really well they are going to be sold off , simple as that .

If they stay up they won't want him. They'll spend some money for someone proved. If they come down then maybe.

I think Downes is more than capable of Premier League football, he’s a luxury in our team imo.

We shouldn’t be surprised by this. Our model is completely reliant upon finding youngsters and hidden gems who get sold on some time later for healthy profit. Downes is currently looking like he fits the model pretty well.

I’m not knocking Downes here he’s done well for us but I can’t get my head around what an EPL seen to be interested in him.

He’s a decent player and I’d like to keep him I can’t see what anyone has seen this season to think he’ll be in the Prem next season.

Not seen much healthy profit in sales lately!

Oh christ, I agree with Prosser.

Those who are the biggest backers of RM also seem to think Downes has been brilliant for us. Have to say, I've not seen it. He's alright but, when we've been on the receiving end of pumpings, he's gone as AWOL as anyone.

That’s right, the scouting team are under pressure in this respect.
