Suspected dislocated shoulder

https://www.swanseacity.com/news/martin-shoulder-injury-set-keep-liam-cullen-sidelines

Two players in two weeks getting the same injury in the same area of the pitch.
Gutted for him, depends on scans but likely gonna out until the World Cup break.

Thats happened before although it was left backs and injured knees. We had some guy from Villa on loan and Bodde injured himself there also.
My memory is on the wane but I think this is correct.

I wonder if we might dip into the free agent market to get some cover for up top? A couple of options that may be worth looking at is Mark McNulty, a utility forward, who at 29 brings a good amount of games behind him as a back up. Other option might be Izzy Brown, ex Chelsea and lots of clubs on loan, I wonder if he crossed over with Josh Marsh at Huddersfield

You would think that Obafemi and Russ will need to patch any differences up pretty quick now. Hope Liam makes a swift recovery.

As I understand it Oko-Flex can also play up top as well as in a number 10 role so we have that option as well.

If my memory serves correctly, that’s what gave Ben Davies his first opportunity of first team football. He hasn’t done too badly !

That was a few years later, with Neil Taylor getting injured and giving Ben his chance. Looking at the squad list for the 08/09 season (when Painter got injured), it looks like it was a combo of Bessone and Tate who covered the position.
