Nat Phillips was on the brink of joining Swansea on deadline day and had permission to agree personal terms with them, but they signed Bennett and Latibeaudiere instead. The Liverpool hierarchy were less than impressed by how the Welsh club conducted themselves and messed Phillips around [James Pearce]

He only went on to have man of the match yesterday.

I don’t really care if they’re happy or not. It is good to hear that our recruitment team were more focused on doing the right thing for Swansea as opposed to committing to develop their player.

Nat Phillips was supposed to be a permanent deal probably around 1M, so if we got Bennett for free then that's the reason we didn't go ahead imo.

Exactly, and pricing us out of Harry Wilson.

I'd have been amazed if we had spent £1m on him. I just don't think we have that kind of financial fee on top of the wages

But its not scouse who are making the decisions is it but a German with American owners.

Personally,Im over the moon when any of the so called big 6 get unhappy.

Klopp needs to humble up and accept the fact the big 6 do not have full sway over us all.

I was annoyed with the way Brewster was mishandled and he wont be doing his career much good where he ha gone. He wanted to go to a London club anyway so sod off Jurgen

This was the media figure being thrown about at the time, so yeah can see why we went for the freebies.
