Lovely pass into the box, great control with a sublime finish.
Brought tears to my eyes watching us score a wonderful goal like that v the PL champions

We have a small squad as showed with our two CB's yesterday, they hardly had time to say hello let alone train & play together as a unitLifelong said:Blackpooljack said:Watched the match on some foreign channel with English comms , Peter Drury whose first job was at radio lids and boy could you tell, he must be wearing white stained pants tonight, i for one am glad the media circus that followed lids in the Championship have buggered off now and we might see fairer coverage and btw i hope they get dry humped every game.
It was a penalty.
It’s early days yet but I was impressed with Leeds, i’ll Be surprised if they don’t stay up.

The reason why we are now in the Premier League, without him we'd still be struggling in mid-table of the championshipPencoedJack said:That said Bielsa is a far better tactician than Holloway.

Of course Klopp will have prepared the team for this but I'm sure that there was still an element of surprise for Klopp and his team. The majority of the other Premier League also rans will try and play containment for 90 minutes. It just goes to show what can be done when you have a go.
I agree with your point about Leeds; they won't be bottom three come end of season.
I don't mean just the Leeds game, Liverpool have generally been poor since Christmas. How on Earth Wolves lost there over the festive period who knows. Burnley should've beat them at Anfield in July. Atletico Madrid did them up a kipper.
They have signed one RB. They need more signings if they are to compete for even the top 4 imo. Chelsea and Arsenal look a lot stronger than last season. Spurs and ManU really kicked on second half of the season. City will be stronger.
Also I think the league is stronger, weak sides like Norwich and Bournemouth have gone down. I think Villa are knackered. WBA will prob be okay too, lots of PL experience. Southampton are a totally different side to 12 months ago, and Newcastle to 15 months ago.

I see Chelsea as their biggest threat and the chasing pack has generally closed on them, I say this based on my perception of summer transfers. However I still consider them to be the benchmark this season. I’m not with you about WBA; their transfer activity has been minimal and I can see them being way off the pace.

Any team in the PL with Kyle Bartley in the centre of their defence is only going one way.

Early days Leeds could make a decent start with their style of play but wonder if they will get worked out.
Reminded me of Blackpool 10 years ago the way they attacked yesterday.
Entertaining to watch but 6 players in the attacking third will soon be picked off in the PL.
That said Bielsa is a far better tactician than Holloway.

IIRC Norwich had a very similar performance at Anfield at the start of last season as well.
And we all know how that ended...
