Can Newcastle actually win a trophy, it'll be funny If they fail again, which is likely.. Isak is dangerous, probably the best finisher in the world ATM, so you never know.. it's on ITV 1 if you're not on Sky

Liverpool are favourites, but they do have a tendency to make a meal of cup finals. In the last 20 years, they've won no fewer than 6 major trophies on penalties, and two other trophies deep into extra time.

Both teams are not at full strength. My money is on this game going to extra time at the very least.

I think Newcastle might pull this one out, on the 'life is more important than lunch' principle. They really need it. Liverpool less so. Then again the principle doesn't really hold if you have a lion up your arse.

Which reminds me of the two mates being stalked by a lion. One pulls on his running shoes. The other says, what's the point, you can't outrun the lion.... "I don't need to, I need to outrun you".

Oldies are best.

Would like the geordies to puck one up. Never forget the welcome we had on trips there and every time I've been abroad I've met a few. They seem to like us.

Liverpool looking every inch a team who got dumped out of Europe in midweek after 120 minutes and penalties. Emotionally and physically exhausted.

It goes against my long-ingrained dislike of Liverpool (having grown up in the 80's when they were winning regularly), but I hope they come back and win this. I strongly dislike Newcastle fans in general and cannot support a club who are only there because of the artificial wealth being pumped in by their oil-state owners.

They’re winning our cup. They seem quite excited given how easy the dwarves told us it was. Commentators talking about historic and euphoric too.
