Liverpool

Arsenal badly need a world class centre forward.

Our team need to watch games so it can sink in to their heads that they have to move quickly to defend, to make space and to understand the basics of pass and move.

No point, these top clubs play a different version of the sport than the likes of us.

Agree and disagree.

The gulf in what game the top clubs play and what we play is massive but the basics never change. Watching our defence stagnant time and again when they should be coached to move as soon as that ball is lost is worrying as they are Championship players not non league players. I know Joe Allen and Leon Britton were top class players but they were doing it before they hit that top level.

That could be said for our whole team. For example Humphries collects the ball from Rushworth. There’s no option to pass into space in front of him. So it goes back to Rushworth.
The lack of movement in this side is quite alarming. Brendan Rodger’s teams had it to a tee. The triangular football and movement his sides had is light years ahead of the turgid crap we’ve had to watch in the last 2-3 years.
