    All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

    Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

    It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

    The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

    Thank you though for all the memories

Lloyds Bank right or wrong here?

Wrong, just fvck off is it, Jesus sacked for helping someone. Bollocks.
This country is fvcked.
 
You can see where Lloyds are coming from in that an unscrupulous person could take advantage of the customer in that situation, but sacking her over it seems a massive overreaction.

She's played a blinder by getting it in the media though, another company gets some free publicity for hiring her and she gets a new job. Win-win.
 
To help a customer in these circumstances she should have got a colleague to act as a witness, right intention slightly wrong approach.

I agree with this approach. I think Lloyd's handling of the issue is incredibly heavy handed.

This. While she appears to have been well intentioned, she had a professional responsibility not to break the bank's customer code. There were other ways she could have helped which wouldn't have involved breaking the rules.
 
In no way can you act that way whilst in a position of trust, whether she is naive or not is neither here nor there, she left herself and Lloyds open to all sorts of accusations.

Nobody will ever know one way or the other as she is going ahead with the tribunal now.

But none of us would be surprised should it be mentioned.

As a former employee of Lloyd's I can assure you will not find discrimination of any kind in the organisation,.
They are barstewards to everyone, regardless of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation or disability
