Huge game on Saturday.

Local Derby. If Watford win then 2nd spot is almost as good as sealed.

If Watford don’t win then it will really opens the door to us and Brentford... especially with them up against Norwich the next game. If they lost 2 in a row I can really imagine them bottling it.

Watford need 8 pts from 5 games to mean we can’t realistically catch them.

On paper they should pick up 2 wins v Luton & Millwall... the other 3 look difficult for them... Norwich, Brentford and Us.

Funny a couple of wins changes our perspective.. most were looking at 7th position last week

It pains me to think of what position we would be in had we won the home games against Cardiff and PNE.

Exactly this, throwing away them games could have been the difference between going up or staying put.

Just shows how close it is. I have a really bad feeling that we're going to rue that really bad run of 4 losses, 0 points out of 12 at the end of the season. Even 2 draws and 2 points could be massive for us.

I would hazard a guess that no other team in the top 7, possibly even the top half of the league, possibly even the whole league bar the bottom couple have lost 4 on the bounce. You just can't do that when chasing promotion. We've done well to pull it back a bit as another loss and we'd be looking at dropping out of the playoffs as a decent possibility.

As I said in another thread, I think the best we can hope for now is to be within 2 points of Watford before we play them on the final day. We'd have nothing to lose and we tend to play better then, while Watford would probably sit back for 90 mins.

Watford do have a hard run-in though. I don't think we can take our eyes off Brentford either by any means. It really wouldn't surprise me if 2nd-4th, maybe even 5th, hang in the balance on the final day of the season.

We need the Watford and Brentford game to be a draw really...

... although it probably won't matter because we'll end up losing to Wycombe on Saturday and it's game over then.

🤣🤣🤣

I just can't see watford bottling it, they are playing too well imo.

Would be great if they did though.

Their fans seem to think they're not actually playing that well at the moment... their match against Reading was close... Reading probably had the better of it but didn't take their chances... Norwich would punish them.

But we really need Luton to do us a favour in the derby.

Luton Watford a fierce rivalry. With no fans will it mean that much to Luton players?

What do they call it?

The EDL derby, Sh1te Town derby.?

I sincerely hope we did. On the flip side, Watford do have a tricky run in, a derby, Norwich and Brentford away. They could easily amass no points there so big pressure at home to wall and maybe a winner takes all last game.

Still reckon you could slip in through the backdoor Benny? 😂

Innit! I thought Watford beating Reading was the best result at the time. We'd be just 4 points behind Watford now had Reading won!
