Fulham leading 1-0 in the 70th minute

Willian blocks a shot on the line with his hand - ref goes to VAR monitor and gives penalty and red card for Willian

Fulham manager Marco Silva protests, ref gives him a red card

Mitrovic shoves the ref, ref gives him a red card

Utd score penalty

Raving bonkers scenes.

Hardly a shove

Would be nice to see refs be consistent with that approach, especially when Utd or City or Liverpool players do it. Gutless f*ckers.

He put his hands on the ref in an aggressive manner and launched a tirade at him with his finger in his face. I expect a six match ban at least, and well deserved.

Correct, but it wasn't a shove and they need to do it consistently, especially against the big clubs.

On the TV coverage, they showed a little lad of about four in his Fulham shirt in his mother's arms amongst the away supporters, a few moments after Mitrovic seeing red. The look of hurt and bafflement on his face was heartbreaking.
Mitrovic the animal let him down big time, the arseh*le.

100% a shove. Then aggressive to ref. 6 game ban minimum. Disgraceful action, terrible example for kids.

Never a shove, lifted his arm into him.

What is your view on Fernandez doing it to the linesman in their game against Liverpool the other week? Funny how they get away with it again, and the smaller clubs don't isn't it?

For the record, Mitro was right to be sent off, but let's have some consistency in it, set an example across the board including the biggest clubs in the world. That would send a bigger message.

Not on same scale as Mitrovic...but def should have been punished. Players touching match officials crosses a red line.

No consistency

Why is it crazy? Deliberate handball to prevent a goal being scored, it's a red card. Everybody knows the rule. If you do it, you're off, simple as.

Sorry, what I meant was is there are so many different interpretations of handball these days it is bound to cause mayhem when it goes against you.
