• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I was in there on Friday afternoon about 3.30pm, having just flown in to Cardiff for the match, and settled down for a pint while I waited for my brother to finish work, he lives just up the road. The place was heaving with drinkers and I'm told that is the normal state of affairs.
£2,20 for a pint of Glamorgan ales Jemimia's Pitchfork ale in The George Hotel [weatherspoons] in Brecon, lovely pint to, I had paid £4,50 for the same ale at the other end of town a bit earlier at the Hop house.

I popped in to town yesterday, I can see why M&S are leaving.
We go to Hereford a good few times through the year and the town is thriving including M&S, plus the Shopping centre across the road from Herefords football ground, Edgar Street.

It can be done, I don't buy in to retail parks and online shopping have killed city centres.

Cardiff is a decent day out as well.

Yep it is, as long as I haven't got to go and prancing around the fecking shops, not a lot in Brecon we came back earlier than expected due to it pissing down, parked on road outside town and we both got rather wet.

Summer is here 😂

Moretti was 6 quid a pint, Mrs had two pots of tea £18 and £7.80 I had sirloin £25 Mrs fish and chips £16 two sweets £15, steak was a bit meh Mrs wasn't impressed either sweets were average.

Would have had better value for similar cost at Grill House, but its a bit far to go on a school night.
Good gosh, at those prices you should expect the food to be really nice , not meh.

I'm not gonna mention the place, but we've had much better fare there.

Fillet medallions at the Grill house is 26 quid and bloody lovely.
