Will it be today? Wonder how much or any impact they will have for next 2 games. Nothing ie ever easy with us.

Sadly there does not seem to be much of an argument for them to be granted Visas. We clearly rushed into Matos and hoped to figure the rest out later and we have left the poor guy all at sea. Forget the impact on training from a technical and tactical aspect, this must be wrecking his head and giving the players pause.

My patience for trying defend what the club is wearing thin. How do you mess this up
Surely you would do your research before hand. And if they did know this, which I get a feeling they did as they appointed Allen and Britton really fast, means they couldn't wait and wanted Matos in asap. Time will tell if this comes back on them. Cough next 2 games.

I suppose it's one of two things here. Either the club has ballsed up the work permit process, or this is simply how long it takes for coaches from the EU who have not worked in this country before.

Without knowing which it's impossible to make a judgement but what's certain is the club couldn't have waited for this whole process to be complete before appointing Matos. They could have decided on someone else I suppose but that's a different conversation.

It seemed to take Middlesborough 2 weeks to get Hellberg & his staff officially confirmed so this would give a baseline how long the process takes

All down to the band the leagues are on, I believe the Portuguese 2nd tier is band 6 or 7 so would need to apply for a visa without guarantees, Swedish league is band 5 so wouldn't have these issues.
The cost for 3/4 of his staff would cost the club about 20/30k in fees to apply.

It's clearly an oversight by the people who made the managerial decision.
