• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Such a important topic, thanks for sharing, Darran.

Lads, none of us are ever alone, don't suffer in silence ❤️
I've no option. I can't get a word in.

More seriously, the black dog is a bastard, random, and tough to shake off when he gets his teeth in. No shame in admitting it and asking for help, especially professional help. We are all very fragile.

With me being such a private shy person who never talks about myself or posts photos etc I’m not sure I’ve mentioned this before but slightly off topic a few years ago I went through a period of having flashbacks, not sleeping and when I did sleep I’d have nightmares and (I’m told) be thrashing about on the bed.
I was diagnosed with PTSD so they sent me for a course of EMDR Therapy,it was brilliant but seemed to wear off a bit after four years so every Wednesday morning for the last month I’ve been having a top up.

A mate of mine has worked in MH for years and has delivered sessions on PTSD to people with all sorts of issues, it can be a really effective and life changer. He’s getting on a bit these days and has long since retired, but he keeps his hand in and helps out when he can. I’ve got nowt but respect for the guy.

There's a few strands of police tape around a tree in Singleton Park again. No idea what went on (beyond a suicide by hanging) but the tree is close to the uni.

It'd feel odd checking in on every young person mooching around the park. There's hundreds passing through every day. But then something like this happens...
