MGW

I replied to a Wolves fan pointing that very tweet out and he replied that she did it for publicity. Really weird amount of hatred here. Hopefully they’ll push him towards us.

I think it really does show that Wolves fans cannot spot a quality player when they have one in front of them

Sadly they have fast turned into another group of fans who think the Premier League is their spiritual home and that they can compete with the very best.

Will be relegated within three years

Absolutely. The abuse not only their manager gets but the owners, who bankrolled them out of the Chamoionship let’s remember is unreal. I remember them being in League One a few seasons ago until Kenny got them promoted. They think they have a divine right to be at the level of Leicester, can’t stand them

More to my shame, I really only watched ten minutes of MGW when he came on the last game, before departure , he looked brilliant. Pure class.

I an remember being at Molineux in the early years we were in the PL, the 4-4 game, they were having a new stand built the team were not great but they were certainly trying hard enough but the fans booed and moaned all the way through the game.

You could see the owners were trying to improve the club. It stuck in my mind at the time how difficult it must be for the players to play in that environment.

We were a good side at that time but their attitude was we should be beating Swansea, completely different from many of the other supporters you came across at that time who respected that we were a good footballing side.

Very odd set who also seemed to be looking for a fight with away supporters at every opportunity, nice pies though 😍

The 4-4 game was at the Liberty I think? The first game up there I think we threw away a 2 goal lead in the last 10 minutes to draw - would have been our first away win in the PL from memory?

They are a strange bunch and I remember that first game walking around the ground you suspected many of their fans were still stuck in the 1970s/1980s (same reference as your last line!)

Yes that’s right, remember Allen scored. The 4-4 game was bizarre. Sure we played that Greek defender who had a shocker and Orlando scored too

You are right It was 2-2 game I had a text off my mate saying good win, just as their equaliser went in.

Yes the grown men in their 40’s looking for a fight seemed a real throwback to the 70s/80’s it was a shock because I hadn’t come across it for ages even at St Andrews which still has a bit of a reputation.
