You came from Sorrento and got in for kick off!

There were 5 of us staying in the same hotel as the team not too far from the stadium and we got in not long before ht !! 😀

Pah! Amateurs. I bought a couple of Italian newspapers, got on public transport with a thousand other people and kept my mouth shut and was there in plenty of time. Even saw Pompeii the next day - needs doing up.

What put us off doing just that funnily enough was we went to Pompei too, the day before, on the local train. Got spotted immediately as being Swans fans and the locals started to gather round us on the train. It all ended without incident, but that definitely put us off getting public transport on the day of the game 😬

Agree though, Pompei could do with a makeover really

Remember well the songs on the Sorrento bus and the 'confrontations' with the Napoli supporters in the traffic jam on the ring road. I thought the windows were going to come in with all that hammering! And we arrived before kick off. 🙂

My recollection was that most of the window hammering came from inside the bus and iirc the culprits were called the Curly Brothers (? ) and the driver via Jim White kept telling them to stop, which usually only lasted until the next traffic lights!
