• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Controversial.... I feel he was never given a chance with us. To see how good or bad he was.
Nothing controversial about that thought.

The lad was hardly given a fair crack of the whip by Willy.

Just look at Vip, seemed a completely different player, yesterday.

Came on against Celtic for the last 25 minutes yesterday, put himself about a bit, but Hibs were putting 10 men behind the ball at that point.

Agree totally about the striker situation.

Mykola has never had a consistent opportunity, not under Duff and not under Williams. While one can argue that the manager will see plenty during training as fans all we ever saw were a few 5 minutes cameos to close out/chase a game and one well taken header against Millwall.

Vipotnik was in almost the same boat, no consistent game time and he could bang in a goal in one game and find himself rewarded with a place on the bench for the next.

Strikers thrive off of confidence and service and a year and a half under Duff and Williams had starved the two of them of both of those aspects.

I tend to trust the judgement of the manager when it comes to selecting players based on them seeing what they do day in day out on the training pitch.

In Williams case I wouldn't trust the fella to run a bath.

Or to take one

I watched the second half of that Dundee Utd game earlier this week. Didn't see our boy's goal in the first half, but he was rubbish in the second half and was eventually subbed. The standard of football on display by both teams was League Two, if that.
