Something which has always puzzled me is the oft trotted out ‘he’s got a great touch for a big lad’.

Why do people say this? It’s just a lazy phrase that people think they should say about a tall player.

Why shouldn’t a tall player have skills? It’s never said about small players is it?

There was tons of people saying it on Twitter last night.

And at what height does a player become a ‘big lad’ and therefore qualify for this saying?
