It's not just a new Manager we need. It has come clear that this experiment of Coleman as a Huge Conk style chairman, with full oversight of everything, has failed miserably.

If the new ownership group doesn't want to become pariahs like the Caplan, Whatshisface and Silverstein, they need to act quickly. Coleman was already a tarnished brand when they took over.

If the new regime is going to be a success, with many already giving up hope on that, the only way it can be achieved is if Coleman steps back and they appoint a CEO charged with the day to day running of the club. Someone who can steady the ship as it were. Coleman can still call himself chairman if he likes, but he can't continue in his current role, he is clearly out of his depth.

I fully agree.

I don't understand the appointment of Montague as the DoF. As a head analyst, fine, head of scouting even. But we need a negotiator who knows the league and preferably the division.

Coleman needs to be a figurehead. Send him to go and schmooze sponsors and network on the golf courses and stay away from the football side of the company.

How do any of use know what Montague can or can't do? I say judge him on his actions when in role.

The man needs more than 20 minutes through the doors to have any visible impact, I am prepared to give Montague a chance. By all accounts his first day at work the manager was fired and word on the grapevine that Coleman is also under significant heat.

I agree with all said about Coleman, but the thing we have to remember is that he's an owner of a sizeable chunk of the club. He's not someone that can easily be fired.

Well just like any Player that can be signed, we can predict which way it can go by looking at what they've done to date.

if we'd signed a Player who's played centre back their whole career to play on the wing, before they'd kick a ball, I'd say it's not a particularly great idea that I doubt it would turn out well.

Similarly we've appointed an analyst when we need a director of football. I have my reservations as to whether this will work out.

It's just standard football forum discussion.

We should have done more to try and keep Trevor Birch here
The likes of Birch don't grow on trees - we did supremely well to secure his services for as long as we did.

The focus right now has been to dump our toxic, weakest link - Williams. And purge the club finally from the detritus left by the rotten Martin-Willy axis.

Hearing the feel good factor is already back, at all levels at the Club.

Just as well we didn't write the likes of Dyer, Routledge and Brendan Rodgers off before they had kicked a ball, managed the team.

Why? If someone on a forum had expressed concern at that appointment or signings when made (I didn't - we needed decent wingers and a manager, which is what they were when we signed them), what difference would it make to anything?

Do you really think Montague cares that some fans are questioning his suitability to the role?

Its a football forum, everyone's entitled to an opinion or not. There's no malice here.
