• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Fotheringham was formerly manager of Huddersfield Town between 2022 and 2023 and has extensive coaching experience in Scotland and Germany. He is perhaps best remembered for a particularly amusing viral press conference during his time with the Terriers.

FFS :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Please just be for 8 games...
I sincerely hope it's only until the end of the season.

If not I fear we'll be in the exact same position next season as we currently find ourselves now.

We've seen Cardiff do it over and over.

I really hope that there’s a Plan B on the office wall, a plan which kicks in immediately after the end of season and allows the permanent guy to get his feet under the table with recruitment. Please let there be a Plan B.

Will they be welcomed into the quorum easily!?

You can't really knock the Fotheringham call as he seems to have a decent background as a coach.
The Stearman one is a strange one, even if he is a mate of Sheehan's given his limited coaching background.

It does have a feeling of a slap and pritstick.

Probably wants people he knows and trusts working alongside him.

I think it's a little overdramatic of people to get their knickers in a twist over the 2 guy's Sheehan's asked to help put the cones out for the remainder of the season. What were people expecting? Klopp and Alex Ferguson to come on down and help out?

I don't know much about how good these 2 are at coaching players, but it seems most of you have intimate knowledge of how they operate, so I'll have to defer to you guys, but let's not get too carried away by this.

Exactly 2 former team mates, who have coaching badges, Steerman with plenty of Prem experience, it’s better than nothing for the remaining games, this also gives Sheehan a platform to showcase his potential as a manager with his own back room team.

Totally agree.

Quite normal to surround yourself with people you trust.

I think the reason why people are underwhelmed is because the chances are ( with our past form ) is come the start of next season the three of them will most likely be still here.

Some posters love to write people off before they've had chance to prove their worth.

Assumptions made by others are staggering.

I am obviously in that batch! It's just something I have got used too in the last few years....I used to be one of those who defended managers and so on but I think eventually I have been ground down.

As for Fotheringham, what's the link with Sheehan?
Not seeing an obvious one.
